Engineering challenge to build tallest/strongest structure
About the Event
An engineering challenge where teams design and construct the tallest and strongest possible tower using limited materials and structural creativity.
Rules & Regulations
- •You may use only the materials supplied (Popsicle sticks). No replacements provided.
- •The base of the tower cannot be glued to the table or any other surface.
- •Your tower may not touch anything except the base that you build it on.
- •You are allowed to use as much of the glue you are given, but no more.
- •You can use only the material provided to you, nothing extra will be provided.
- •Minimum height: approx 40 cm. Base width: 15cm, Middle: 6cm, Top: 5cm.
- •Time limit: 2:00 hours.
- •No coaching will be allowed.
- •Height will be measured once at the end. Your tower must stand.
- •If your tower does not stand then you will NOT have an opportunity to modify it.
